Outside Catering

Jim and Alice Pickup and their son, Julian, established Pickup Catering Limited in December 2005. Although their main objective was to establish a top class restaurant within the Hotel Victoria in Newquay, they also saw an opportunity to provide an excellent Outside Catering Service in the Newquay area.

Jim has catered for many events in the past notably for the wedding of Tanya daughter of Graham Roach of Roach Foods in 2001 when canapés, a 3 course cooked wedding breakfast and an evening buffet were prepared in a marquee in the grounds of Prideaux House. A similar occasion saw Jim and Julian prepare a buffet for a wedding in a marquee for a 150 guests for farmer Phillip Stiles in Camelford.

Smaller events have also been catered ranging from canapés, finger buffets, plated buffets and sit down meals.
